Backflow Device Testing & Installation
Call Parker’s Plumbing for all your backflow testing needs!
A backflow device is the appurtenance that prevents water in your system from flowing back into the public distribution system. A reversal of flow could possibly contaminate the public drinking water.
This re-certification is mandated to be performed to all backflow devices on your premises on an annual basis according to the Georgia Rules for Safe Drinking Water and the Standard Plumbing Code.
Your public water utility will also notify you in advance that it’s time for your annual re-test. In their notification letter they will provide you with a list of testers. These testers have “completed a specialized course in the testing of backflow prevention devices”; however, not all testers included on this list are Licensed Master Plumbers. If your device fails the testing, you will have to contact a Licensed Master Plumber for “legal” maintenance, service or repairs.
In an effort to best serve you in this regard may I suggest that you choose only a “Licensed Master Plumber” that is also a certified backflow tester such as myself. Being in business as a “Licensed Plumbing Contractor”, I have the ability to disassemble these devices for service and repair. Should your device not pass during the annual re-test I can (possibly) do a field service on your assembly which could save you unnecessary downtime and money.
I would like to provide you with this service. If you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment please call 770 251-5172 or visit our service request form.
